WHY HAVEN'T YOU HEARD OF IT?
Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) has been proven to be extremely effective in the treatment of cold sores.
So why have you not heard of it
Laser treatments must be performed by medical professionals, and the machines needed cost tens of thousands of dollars, so in the past, the treatment has been much too expensive for individual patients in the general public. They also involve inconvenient visits to the dentist or doctor’s office.
Fortunately, there is now an exciting new technology that allows cold sore sufferers to treat and heal their cold sores from the comfort and convenience of home.

Watch this short video that will walk you through a summary of this article.
How Do Lasers Work to Treat Cold Sores?
New, groundbreaking advances in technology have allowed LED (light-emitting diode) devices to produce the same type of light that was previously available only with lasers.
The Luminance Red produces a specific, carefully calibrated wavelength of LED light that can provide amazing results similar to those previously administered by healthcare professionals.
When you use the Luminance Red, your body takes the light energy from the LED device and metabolizes it into cellular energy. Using this energy, the body is able to heal more quickly.
It has also been proven to stimulate your skin’s immune response which can prevent future outbreaks.
LED-LLLT also stimulates the body’s natural production of collagen. This assists in regenerating portions of the skin cells and leads to a shortened wound repair time.
THE RESEARCH SHOWS INCREDIBLE BENEFITS
There are a number of noteworthy double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized trials confirming the incredible results of using LED-LLLT treatments to assist in the healing of cold sores. These trials have discovered that the treatments produced three major results.
The first benefit noted was a significantly shortened healing time. In one study, patients treating a cold sore with a diode laser experienced a 49% reduction in time to heal compared to those who had no treatment.
IMMEDIATE REDUCTION IN COLD CORE PAIN
The second exciting proven benefit found in recent research was that LLLT treatments immediately reduce the pain that comes with cold sore outbreaks.
Patients receiving treatment reported experiencing an average 77% reduction in pain the very next day, versus a 9% reduction in the group who received a placebo treatment (no treatment).
PREVENTION OF FUTURE OUTBREAKS
Treatment with an LED-LLLT device such as Luminance Red has also been proven to prevent future cold sore outbreaks.
If you suffer from cold sores, you know that one of the biggest frustrations can be the recurrent nature of cold sores.
Researchers conducted a study using a group of participants who had experienced at least one cold sore attack per month for more than 6 months.
The trial found that patients who received treatment averaged 37.5 weeks (263 days) before their next cold sore episode, while those who did not receive treatment averaged only 3 weeks (21 days) before their next outbreak.
NOT ALL RED LIGHT THERAPY IS CREATED EQUAL
Red light laser therapy is safe and effective. However, it is critical that the light produced by a laser device is at a very specific level in order to produce the desired effects.
Every Luminance Red device is individually tested and verified to produce the optimal level 75 Mw/cm2 of irradiance. Other devices not listing their irradiance output are likely underpowered, and therefore would not be effective.
With Luminance Red, you know you are using a device that is safe, adequately tested, and carefully calibrated to produce the ideal level of irradiance to knock out cold sores fast!
